The Strong Girl Squad (SGS) is a specialised program created by Sian Edwards, owner of CrossFit Warrington, to help secondary-aged girls (11-16) discover their physical, emotional, and social strength through weightlifting.
We aim to break down barriers that prevent young girls from engaging in sport by providing a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where they can learn to lift weights with confidence.
Girls-Only Weightlifting Workshops
A structured six-week program designed for girls in Years 7 to 12 to learn that weightlifting is safe, fun, and empowering.
Confidence & Well-Being – Sessions focused on nutrition, fitness, and self-esteem to help young girls develop a healthy lifestyle and positive mindset.
Breaking Barriers – We support girls by providing sports kit, toiletries, and other essentials, ensuring that no one is excluded due to material barriers.
